Who is required to attend Convention?
  • Every chapter must send at least two representatives, more are encouraged to attend.
  • All Neophytes are required to attend.
  • BOT, Directors, Managers, and Regional Staff required to attend.
  • All Alumni members are strongly encouraged to attend.
Where is the host site for Convention?
  • The Museum of Latin American Arts in Long Beach, California will be the host for this years Banquet.
  • This year's workshops will be hosted by California State University, Dominguez Hills.
What is the registration fee and what does it include?
  • Early Registration: until March 31, 2008:
    • $120.00 per ticket
    • $1,000.00 per table of ten*
  • Regular Registration: April 1 until May 31, 2008:
    • $150.00 per ticket
    • $1,350.00 per table of ten*
  • Late Registration: June 1 until June 30, 2008:
    • $175.00 per ticket
    • $1,575.00 per table of ten*

The registrion fees includes:

  • Pass to networking reception Thursday night
  • VIP ticket to the Offical Convention Party Friday night.
    The party will be held at the V2O Night Club.
  • Ticket to the Awards Banquet and convention workshops on Saturday

*Only 10 table packages will be sold.
**Brothers who have paid their life-time membership dues will receive a $25 discount.
Can I register in person at convention?
No. In-person registration the day of Convention will NOT be allowed.
May we bring guests?
Guests are allowed and encouraged. In order to attend the convention events your guests must register, or you may register for them. There will be a separate option available if your guests wish to attend ONLY the official national convention party,
Where do I pick up my banquet tickets?
The banquet tickets you ordered will be in your convention pack that you will receive when you check in. Check in will be held Friday at the Long Beach Pier and Saturday at CSUDH.
May we reserve a table for the banquet?
Tables can be reserved by 1 of two ways:
  • By purchasing 10 tickets at once via the group rates, you will automatically have a table reserved for you.
  • After 10 guests have registered that wish to sit at a table you can send an email with everyone's name and table preference to convention@caliphiotas.org
  • Check the "Attendees" page for informaiton about who is attending convention.
Should I a rent a car?
Probably yes. Getting arround in the LA area is very difficult if you do not have your own transportation.
Where should I fly into?
What is the required attire for Convention?
  • Attire for the Banquest will be formal.
  • Attire for all of Friday and Saturday’s meetings is Business Professional.
  • Attire for Friday night's party, TBA.
Who can attend Convention?
Anyone can attend the convention events, workshops and banquet. However, there will be a few Brother Only events.
